I want to let everyone know about a couple awesome things that are happening this week. It feels very uncomfortable to promote a fundraiser for myself (it just feels icky), but I also want to honor all of the work and effort that people are doing to help me. Even though I have my own emotional baggage wrapped up in accepting donations and receiving help from people, in the end, it’s much needed and much appreciated. As we head into the new year I’ll have new medical bills and deductibles to be met. All that said, there are a few ways you can help and be part of the fun!
Saturday, November 21st at 7pm EST – Live Stream Benefit Show!
Finally! We’ve been trying to put together this benefit show since way back in April when it was first postponed due to some Covid thing. But now, with special thanks to Johnson Hall, we’re finally going to make it happen with a spectacular live stream show! It’s going to be packed with Comedy, Juggling, Magic, and all the family entertainment you can handle. Special guests include, Jason Tardy, Steve Corning, Mike Menes, Fritz Grobe, Michael Miclon, George Saterial and maybe more, or maybe less. I have no idea. Depending on how I’m feeling at the time, I’m hoping to make a short appearance, myself. Otherwise, I’ll be there in spirit…. hahaha.. uh.. I’m so funny.
If you don’t already have tickets you can get all the information on the Johnson Hall website. https://www.johnsonhall.org/event/the-matt-tardy-benefit-variety-show/
Again – thanks a bajillion times over to the performers, staff, family and peoples that are working together to make this happen. I hope someday I feel well enough to return the favor and perform at your cancer benefit shows. ;P
Tardy Strong Ebay Auction
Thanks to Jason and Jackie Tardy, and a slew of donators, there is currently 47 different items you can bid on through ebay with proceeds being donated to this good lookin’ guy I know who has cancer. There are lots of cool items like Gift Certificates to local Maine businesses, jewelry, soaps, Art from local Maine artists, photo prints, and a bunch more things and stuff. We’ve also included some sets of prints (pictures of originals) of my very own artwork, and a couple very near and dear to my heart 100% original sketches. These originals are hand-drawn pencil ink sketches that were used to guide the creation of my full size canvas paintings. They mean a lot to me and I’m excited for them to end up in the hands of someone who appreciates them. 🙂
The auctions end on Saturday evening, November 21st.
Thanks again to the businesses and individuals that donated and contributed to this auction. https://www.ebay.com/usr/jt_pro
I don’t want to speculate too much right now, because I’m usually wrong. But I may have some slightly positive news to share in the next couple weeks. I’ll keep you posted. Much love to you all!
