Brain MRI

Posted on November 13, 2019

MRI of brain w/wo contrast.
Results: Normal-ish

Trying to track down the source of ongoing dizziness and lightheadedness. It started a few months back and I attributed it to weening off psych meds. In the last few weeks it has gotten increasingly worse. Some days I can’t drive or perform normal activity.

It could be a lot of things. And I’m sure the stress and anxiety of this whole journey is either making it worse or even the primary source. Although, the timing seems a bit off for it to be the root cause.

I was prescribed a mild anti-vertigo med in the meantime. It seems to help quite a bit. My daily activity has become manageable.

No sign of metastasis of cancer to the brain (yay), but still notice an abnormal thinning of the bone around some-such-balancing-tube-thing (very technical). It could be an abnormality at birth. I will follow-up with my ENT, but not my highest priority.

“Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.”
