Hey, y’all. What’s new? I’ve had a few people check on me to make sure I’m OK in the wake of the Candelabra Virus.
Yep. Still here.
With my lowered immune system I’m one of those “at risk” people. Me and the old people (no offense old people). But actually, not much has changed for me. I’ve been sitting at home every day for months now. I suppose it was convenient that I had to retire just before all this hit the USA. I do have to be careful though, and I’ve decided to not go to any public places if I can help it. It’s also very important that my partner, Josephine, and the kids don’t bring anything home with them.
I’m more worried about the long term financial impact on everyone. Austin lost over 500 million in revenue just this month. And I just made up that number. Please be smart, be kind, and stay safe. Wash your hands. And stop licking each other… (unless y’know..)
Benefit Rescheduled for June 14th
If you haven’t heard yet, we had to reschedule the benefit show to June 14th. Pretty much everything is still going as planned just on a different day. Hopefully, the virus will pass and we can all celebrate in June together. 🙂 You can make a donation on my website to reserve tickets for the show.
Hobo Catdog
BTW – A cat followed me home last week and is camped outside my door waiting for more tuna. We’ve tried finding his people with no luck. I’m not a cat person, but this guy is pretty cool. I named him Banjo Calrissian. I can’t have him in the apartment (because lease) and I would never ever bring the animal inside and cuddle on the couch with him. Nor would I buy cat bowls, or make up a whole song about how great he is…
It does kind of suck because part of me would love to “keep” him, but most days it’s hard enough for me to take care of myself. I can’t add a fur baby to the stress and finances of home life. For now, he seems very content to freely roam the apartment complex and then visit me when he wants food.
Video blogger?
I’ve mentioned it a few times, but part of the reason I don’t post as often is that it takes a lot of energy to sit at my desk, formulate my thoughts, and then type it out in parfect grammers;’
I had this idea to start video blogging instead. Even though I’m not a big fan of video blogs, it could be WAY easier for me to post updates. I can literally lay on the couch in a blanket fort and transmit my latest news.
You’ll also get the added benefit of me rambling and talking completely unscripted which will surely not backfire at all.
I might try a video post for my next blog update and see how it goes.
If you think me doing a video blog is a good idea then put your clicks where your mouth is and subscribe to my YouTube channel. If I get at least one follower that isn’t my mom, then I’ll post a blog video.
Take care. Be safe. Much love.
